A Message from the Fire Chief

The City of Social Circle Fire Department is a growing and progressive career Fire and Emergency Medical Service Department that provides services to the City of Social Circle.

Our coverage area is approximately 14.69 square miles of territory inside the city, which is located in Walton and Newton Counties just east of Atlanta, Georgia. We are responsible for residential, commercial, and industrial properties of all sizes and complexities and +/- 7500 souls on any given day. Our department has a current Insurance Services Organization (ISO) rating of Class 2/2y, a number very important to your fire insurance premiums, indicating the level of service we are able to provide to you.

Our staff includes the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief/Fire Marshall, 12 full-time employees, 2 part-time employees, and one Fire Inspector. The members of the department stand ready to assist you in your moment of need. The staff is well trained and committed to providing the finest emergency services possible and understands the effect our role has in the community. Social Circle has two fire stations:

Station 6 is located at 165 East Hightower Trail

Station 17 is located at 1843 Willow Springs Church Road17

ATTENTION: On 5/27/2025, the State of Georgia will be updating the GA 120-3-3 Rules and Regulations for the State of Georgia Fire Safety Standards. Most notably, this will update NFPA 101 Life Safety Code to the 2024 version. This will not affect any plans already approved by the fire marshal’s office. Any plans currently being prepared will be allowed a 90-day grace period if there are any conflicts with the updated codes.
